Day After Day

How many days in a year

Do you wake up with hope but only find tears?

Never dreaming what you’d have to go through

Life is full of too many things you wish you could undo

So how do you get through day after day?

You fake a smile, hoping it will hide,

All the pain you still feel inside

You thought your heart had finally healed

But there is always another wound to be revealed

So how do you get through day after day?

You start feeling like you’re all alone

Trying to find a place in this world

Things aren’t always what they seem

And life can feel like it’s all up stream

So how do you get through day after day?

It’s not that bad of a climb,

If you just take it one step at a time

And watch as things start to calm down

Cuz sooner than it seems, life turns around.

So you can get through day after day

He said He’d never leave you comfortless

He wants you to always have great success

So He was always there at hand,

It just took some time for you to understand

So you can get through day after day

If you put all your trust in Him

you’re chances of falling will be very slim

You will find the place where you belong

And you will get there someday, if you will be strong

So you can get through day after day

For better is the end of a thing

Than the beginning thereof (Ecc. 7:8)

Cuz everything will be okay in the end

And if it’s not okay, it’s not the end
